Another former Maxite has passed away. Wanda Huettl will long be remembered for all her knowledge about the city of Max. We extend our sympathy to Wanda's family.
Margaret Zaderaka and several others from Max and Minot attended JoNell Samson's Mother's funeral in Minot on Thursday. Elsie Reeves was 95 and was the owner of and continued to work at Reeve's Refrigeration until she was 90. Our sympathy goes out to JoNell.
On Saturday Marlo and Margaret Zaderaka visited with former Maxite Curtis Wagner who is a patient at Med Center One in Bismarck. We wish you a speedy recovery, Curtis. While there, Margaret enjoyed visiting with JoNell Samson.
Swimming lessons are starting on Monday, June 9th. Please have your child to the school by 12:40 on Monday as we will be leaving at 12:45 sharp. Payment to the YMCA in the amount of $29.00 ($14.50 if you are a Max Civic Club member) MUST accompany your child on Monday or he or she may not be allowed to swim due to YMCA rules. We will return at approximately 3:45 p.m. Please be at the school on time to pick up your child. Don't forget to send a snack along as the kids are hungry after all that swimming! This Saturday, June 7th, is the City Clean-up Day. The City Landfill will be open. On Monday, June 9th., the Max Civic Club will be meeting at 7:30 at the Civic Center. New members are welcome - come see what Civic Club is all about.
Next Friday, June 13th., is the Max Senior Citizen's monthly meeting at 2 p.m. in the Over 55 building on Main Street. If you are or have been in 'that' age range, you are welcome to come visit and/or join. Getting older does come with extra fun!
