This Friday, June 13th, is the monthly meeting of the Over 55 group at 2:00. This is always held at the Senior Citizens' Center on Main Street in Max.
Plans are being made for a Welcome Back from Iraq, Benedict, Max, and Douglas Community Party on July 26th. More information later.
Sara Barden Becker and young daughter Angele from Georgia are here visiting with relatives and friends. Saturday evening many family and friends attended Dennis and Karla Fannik's 25th. Anniversary celebration at Homer and Alvie Nesson's farm, where Dennis and Karla were married. Many enjoyed boat rides on the lake. Dvirnaks came from Killdeer for the event.
The Max Civic Club will be having its second annual Solstice Party on June 21st at the Max City Park at 6 p.m. In case of inclement weather, you will meet in the Civic Center on Main Street. Meat, buns, plates, cups and utensils will be provided so please bring your favorite salad or dessert to share, alone with your own beverages and chairs. Music will be provided by the Nite Owls. Alot of fun and games. Everyone is invited!
Sunnyslope Homemakers met at Mary Lushenko's in Max on Tuesday, June 10th. The Library's Summer Reading Program is every Thursday at 10:30 a.m.
