Tomorrow, June 27th at 6 p.m. is the Senior Citizens' Potluck. Anyone 55 or older is invited to join this group and share in all the fun they have.
Father's Day weekend was a busy one at the Kenneth Jungling home. Friday the 13th their children Kent, Catalina, Domonique and Samuel Jungling of Salt Lake City, Utah; Colleen, Randy, Brandi, Brianna and Christian Johnson of Max along with Grandchildren Benjamin Jungling of Glide, Oregon; Misty Jungling and Rich Arroyo of Roseburg, Oregon; Matthew, Katie, Destiney and Alyssa Jungling of Winston, Oregon; Connie Hayes of Glide, Oregon; brothers Jerome and Karen Finkbeiner of Max; Donald and Janice Jungling of Tucson, Arizona; nieces and nephews Rev. Dr. Laurie Junging of Great Falls, Montana; Missy and Sonny, MeKenzie and Will Scheresky of Max; Mark Jungling and Debbie Denko of Fairfax, Virginia; and Paul, Cherie, Jonathon, Sammy and Megan Finkbeiner of Superior, Wisconson surprised Kenny at a family cookout in celebration of his 75th birthday.
On Saturday all of the above along with Aunts Clara Wagner and Esther Streeper of Bismarck; cousins Gary and Sharon Moore, Mick and Marlene Streeper of Bismarck; Gary and Linda Wagner, Alice and Jim Munns of Mandan; Muriel and Ron Peterson of Ryder; Gloria and Bud Henne and LaVonne and Jarvis Jungling of Max; Linda and Bob Tschritter of Linton; Betty Schweyen and Eileen and Glenn Hance of Minot, along with several friends enjoyed an evening of celebration of Kenny's birthday and Kenny and Shirley's 50th wedding anniversary. Sunday the family enjoyed a catered dinner at the Junglings and on Monday morning the group said farewell over a breakfast at the Centennial cafe.
Lila Fannik, Lorna Sambor and Marian Schmidt took in the Kief celebration on Saturday. That evening they then attended the Second Annual Summer Solstice in the park in Max. This event was very well attended and the committee did a very good job of organizing it. The many kids attending were kept entertained and prizes were given out to them. The Max Book Club and Library planned the fun for the kids. Everyone seemed to have a wonderful time.
Lorna Sambor, Lila Fannik, Ethel and Ervin Hauf, and Marian Schmidt, along with many others, attended Elaine Kohler's 80th birthday party on Sunday afternoon. Happy Birthday, Elaine!
Keep Saturday July 26th open for the Welcome Back From Iraq community party being planned to honor our service people from Max, Benedict, and Douglas. This will begin with a potluck at 5 o'clock.
