Congratulations to Michael and Agnes Dobowey on the birth of their grandson in Cold Spring, Minnesota. Jonathan and Katie Dobowey are the proud parents. The little guy has a sister at home, waiting to help take care of him. Congratulations to you all.
We extend our sympathy to Ethel Hauf in the loss of her sister, Hannah Hanson, in Minot.
On Thursday evening, Lila Fannik, Lorna Sambor, and Marge Scurlock enjoyed supper at the Centennial Cafe with their daughters, Virginia Fannik Sides and Carol Scurlock Sherwood and their husbands. Virginia and Harold Sides are from Georgia. Carol and Paul Sherwood are from Florida. Will Barden joined them later after work.
Lila, Lorna, and Marge are the Johnson girls from Douglas. The Johnson family reunion was held on July 5th at the Phyllis and Steve Narum's in Douglas.
This Friday, July 11, the Over 55 Club will be having their monthly meeting at 1:00 at the Senior Center in Max. Monday, July 14th is Civic Club at 7:30 in the Max Civic Center.
Saturday, July 26th the Welcome Back from Iraq Community Party, including Benedict, Max, and Douglas, will be held at the Max Civic Center. The potluck will begin at 5:00 with an Honorary program at 6:30. Wayne Kabanuck will provide music following the program.

There will be a $5.00 charge for each place holding a sale and these proceeds will go towards advertising the sales.
Eugene and Margaret Zaderaka spent the Fourth of July visiting Curtis Wagner and JoNell Samson. Curtis is once again in Med Center One Hospital in Bismarck. In the evening they joined their son Mark and his family at Centennial Campground.
On Saturday, the 5th of July, Eugene and Margaret Zaderaka joined their son Dean and his family at their cabin on Lake Metigoshie. They watched beautiful fireworks while sitting on a pontoon. The water would look the color of the display and the echo over the lake was unreal!
Thursday evening's excitement around Max was the accident on the viaduct where a camper trailer overturned after losing its axels. No one was hurt. It blocked the road so vehicles had to wait and the line reached out to the county line, two miles away!
