Marian Schmidt, Idamae Hauf, Tammy Rae Hauf, Ethel Hauf, and Janice Kersten headed for Bottineau where they visited Ethel Hauf's daughter, Melinda Thorson, while she was at work at the Hallmark Store. They had a soup and sandwich lunch at the Shepherd's Hill at the Crossroads at St. John.
