No School! That's right - no school on Monday, September first because of Labor Day! Sure hope it is a 'nice weather' day for whatever you want to do.

On September 4th, next Thursday, all area folks are in for a special treat as an Air Force musical group "Night Wing" will provide an evening of music starting at 7 pm in the Ryder Park Bandstand. Hamburgers, hotdogs and all the fixings will be provided by the Air Force to show their appreciation for the Ryder community. All you need to bring are your lawn chairs and friends!

Then on Sunday, September 7th the Grandparent's Day Breakfast at the Max Civic Center will be held from 9:30 -12:30 with serving of pancakes and sausage. A freewill offering will be taken to help defray costs for the Community Calendar. This event is sponsored by the Max Civic Club.

Have you noticed a house missing in Max? The house south of the six-plex is no longer there, so watch for what will go in that area. It is so nice to see the new houses going up in Max - we are a growing community.
