            Max School Sports information for the week of March 6th – March 11th.This will be the last week to watch JH Boys for this school year. On Tuesday JH Boys game at 4pm in Turtle Lake. On Friday and Saturday JH Boys McLean County Tournament begins at 4pm in Max.

            On Saturday March 4th will be the McLean County Music Festival in Washburn. Also the FFA winter judging competition will be in Turtle Lake. Spring pictures will be on March 14th with Lifetouch at Max Public School. You can order online at

            On Tuesday March 7th Max Library Partners will have their annual meeting at 5:45 in the Library, election of officers will be held at this meeting. Julie McElwain has a sequel to her first novel coming in April. Max Community Library will once again host a book signing that will be held on Saturday April 15th at City Hall in Max starting at 10am. The library has ordered copies of her new novel A Twist in Time that will be available for purchase as the release date gets closer.

            City hall will be having some remodeling done in the hallway of the building and the auditor’s office from March 15- March 25. This will include painting and new carpet, and the hall and auditor’s office will be closed during this process. The city employees will be prepping and painting and will have limited availability. Your patience will be appreciated during this process. Max Community Library will be closed on Tuesday March 21st for carpeting installation. This will not affect the food panty that will be held on Monday March 20.
