Max School Sports information for the week of April 17th – April 22nd. On Tuesday, JH Track Meet at 11am in Tioga, EBBB Game at 4:30 in Max. On Thursday, EBBB game in Garrison at 4:30, V Baseball game at 4pm in Velva, GEVB game at 5pm in Wilton, JH Track Meet in Underwood TBD. On Friday, V Track Meet at 4pm in Washburn, JV Baseball at 4pm in Surrey. On Saturday, GEVB Jamboree in Wilton TBD, V Track meet at 11am in Hazen, JV Baseball at 4:30 in Max.

            Congratulations to Christina Bingham, Taylor Johnson, Sydney Bauer, Breanna Olson, Stephanie Zenz, Megan Kramer, and Stephanie Bingham, for their excellent ratings at the Regional Music Contest this last weekend in Minot. Congratulations to Megan Kramer and Stephanie Zenz for qualifying for state on their vocal duet. Congratulations to Megan Kramer for qualifying for state with her clarinet solo.

               The food pantry will be open at the Youth Center in the Civic Center on Main Street in Max on Monday April 17th from 1-3pm and 5-7 pm. 

            There will be a prayer service at St Matthew’s Lutheran Church on Sunday April 30th at 2:30. Come and join the woman from both congregations, Peace and St Matthew’s Lutheran Churches for fellowship, prayer, and a salad luncheon.

            The City of Max will be having community clean up days in May. The land fill will be open on Saturday May 6th, and Saturday May 20th from 9am-5pm. This will be free for residents, the landfill will except items such as appliances, furniture, but no household garbage or plastic bags will be permitted.             Come and join Max Community Library for Julie McElwain’s book signing that will be held on Saturday April 15th at City Hall in Max starting at 10am. The library has ordered copies of her new novel A Twist in Time that are available for purchase in the library now.

            Max Public School will have school on Monday April 17th for the 3rd storm make up day. On Tuesday, April 18th there is a FAA Meeting starting at 6:30.
